Unit Emergency Contact Information Needed if Not in Raintree This Year

With Covid-19 affecting us this year, some of our snow birds have chosen not to come down. This makes knowing who to contact when there is a problem within a unit very important. We already had smoke alarm batteries die and roof leaks occur, both of which meant Maintenance needed access to the unit to make repairs.

For this reason, we need a record of who to contact locally for a key to a unit, or either a friend or company looking after a unit. Emergency contact information, the name and phone number of a local person who has a key, should be sent to Randy Moreland at Phantom3mb@aol.com or to Katie Wilkerson (Vista Management) at Kwilkerson@vistacamfl.com.

Sprinkler System Near Marshfield Court Floods Area Behind Buildings

Earlier this week, the sprinkler system had a major blowout overnight and was pumping out gallons of water. We don’t know how long it was happening before Mike and Diana from Marshfield Ct., sent the Raintree Board photos. It became the unofficial lake of Marshfield/Clubview! It completely flooded the rear area of the three buildings and the walking path. Luckily, no water went into any homes. This has since been repaired. As a result, the Board is having the system evaluated. In the area of the flood, there is a major control valve that hasn’t worked for a while because, over the years, it got buried one foot below the surface, and had to be excavated.

How to Submit a Work Order

To better expedite maintenance requests, a work order must be submitted through Vista Management. Once received, the work order is expedited to a Board member and/or a representative from Vista Management who will respond accordingly.

Why is a work order important? Work orders are a record of maintenance performed around the community. If you ask someone directly for maintenance assistance, there is no record of your request. A work order helps the Board organize and follow-through with requests, so you know that your concern has been received.

Do You Have Old and Broken Christmas or Holiday Lights?

Do you have old and broken Christmas or holiday lights? Keep them out the landfill. This year Raintree is collecting lights for recycling through January 15, 2021. There is a bin at the pool under the cabana. Place your old lights in there and we’ll take care of the rest.

The lights are collected and sent to Christmas Light Source where they break them down. All recycling proceeds that they collect throughout the year go towards a Toys for Tots donation in early December, which is used to purchase educational book and toys.

You can feel good knowing that your lights didn’t end up and a landfill and were appropriately recycled in the U.S.

If you have questions about this recycling project, please email Alison Wanta. She will be mailing the collected lights to Christmas Light Source on Raintree’s behalf. No cost to Raintree or residents who participate.

Palm Trees Trimmed and Mulch Placed Around the Community

The palm trees have been trimmed and mulch was placed around the community this month. Everything looks great! The landscaping looks very nice right now especially with all the festive holiday lights at night. Lots of landscaping photos below, but also be sure to check out Raintree’s holiday lights if you have not seen them already.
