New Trees Planted Near Buildings 9 & 10

Japanese Blueberry trees were planted earlier this month near Buildings 9 and 10. They replaced two dead citrus trees. These new trees are a beautiful addition to the Raintree landscape. Check out the photos to see how the new plantings look.

Pool Area Receives Upgrades, Many Residents Help Out

Over the past few months, the pool area has received several upgrades, including new stall partitions in both bathrooms, as well as a Christmas palm in the hot tub area, which replaced older plants in need of refurbishment.

The old bathroom stalls were deteriorating, and it was decided that it was time to install new ones. They are light gray and a thick plastic material, so they should hold up nicely in the Florida weather. Installation was performed by Ron Bochat, Barry Litka, Chris Hirst, Don Cottrell, and Lee Sterner. Dave and Susan Keetch handled the painting and clean-up. Everything looks great!

The Board of Directions would like to thank Charlie and Joanne Hessler for donating the palm. The palm originated from the Hessler’s courtyard, which was overgrown and too big for the area. In an effort to save the palm, the Board accepted the tree and gave permission for it to be planted in the hot tub area. The transplant was challenging, but Charlie, Mike Gallagher, John Gardner, Ron Bochat and Dave (Maintenance staff), were able to get the job done.

The donation of this tree is just one of the many landscaping items (such as mulch) donated by residents over the past few months in an effort to renew and refresh the Raintree landscaping.

As such, the Board of Directors would also like to thank MaryJo Cottrell, Tom Rawson, Christine Wanta, and Dave and Susan Keetch for taking an interest in the beautification of Raintree. Over the past few months, they have contributed their time to weeding, mulching and pruning not only around the pool area, but around their condos units.

Help Grow Community Sections of the Raintree Website

We are looking to grow the “Living in Raintree” and “Unit Maintenance” sections of the website, which are community and “how-to” guides for owners, renters and visitors.

If there is a topic that you feel would benefit the community, or if you’d like to share more information on a certain topic that is already established in these sections, email your ideas to: Raintree.Orlando@gmail.com.

Community announcements and event listings will also be considered if the announcement or event pertains to the entire community.

PLEASE NOTE: Inclusion of suggestions is not guaranteed. The email above is for Raintree website correspondence only. Contact Vista Management if you have a community concern, problem or need to submit a work order.

Units with Garages: Put Garage Doors Down at Night

Although we live in a gated community with 24-hour security, we still need to be mindful of our surroundings. For those units with garages, remember to put the garage door down at night. Some residents have reported the loss of personal valuables from their garage due to the door being up all night. If you see suspicious activity, please call Ventura Security at 407-380-5672.

Help Stop Pool Pass Violations

It’s hot out! So you can imagine that non-Raintree residents will want to take advantage of the Raintree pool. The Raintree pool is a private pool for Raintree residents and their guests. A Raintree pool pass must be visible at all times while enjoying the pool area. If you see a person or group without a pool pass visible – especially if you do not recognize them as a resident – call Ventura Security at 407-380-5672 and ask them to do a pool pass check.
