December Annual Meeting Election Results

Voting homeowners elected Allan Amer to the Raintree Board of Directors during the Annual Meeting on Monday, December 10th. Allan fills a position vacated by Alison Wanta who served as Secretary for four terms. Alison will continue to maintain the community website and email notifications per the request of the Board. Thank you for participating in this election!

Bring Voting Ballot to Annual Meeting on December 10th

There is one position open on the Raintree Board of Directors and two volunteers have expressed an interest in the open position. A voting ballot was sent to all homeowners back in November. If you did not mail it in, bring it to the Annual Meeting that will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018, 7pm at the Clubhouse.

If you are unable to attend, fill out the proxy form (also included in the mailing) and give the form to a neighbor who will be attending the meeting. It is important for homeowners to participate in the selection of their Board representatives.

You’re Invited: Don’t Miss the Upcoming Community Party

Allan Amer is organizing a community party for Raintree residents (owners and renters) that will be held in the Ventura ballroom on Monday, January 28th from 5:00pm until 10:15pm. There will be a buffet, music, cash bar (at Happy Hour prices!), and a silent and live auction. Cost per person is $25. Proceeds from the auctions will be used to pay for the music.

Causal Dress? Yes, but no birthday suits

Will there be music? Yes, from 7:15pm-10:00pm

Can I bring guests? Yes, only if they know how to party

Buffet is $25 per person from 6:00pm to 7:15pm:

New Trees Planted Near Buildings 9 & 10

Japanese Blueberry trees were planted earlier this month near Buildings 9 and 10. They replaced two dead citrus trees. These new trees are a beautiful addition to the Raintree landscape. Check out the photos to see how the new plantings look.

Pool Area Receives Upgrades, Many Residents Help Out

Over the past few months, the pool area has received several upgrades, including new stall partitions in both bathrooms, as well as a Christmas palm in the hot tub area, which replaced older plants in need of refurbishment.

New Bathroom Stall Partitions

The old bathroom stalls were deteriorating, and it was decided that it was time to install new ones. They are light gray and a thick plastic material, so they should hold up nicely in the Florida weather. Installation was performed by Ron Bochat, Barry Litka, Chris Hirst, Don Cottrell, and Lee Sterner. Dave and Susan Keetch handled the painting and clean-up. Everything looks great!

The Board of Directions would like to thank Charlie and Joanne Hessler for donating the palm. The palm originated from the Hessler’s courtyard, which was overgrown and too big for the area. In an effort to save the palm, the Board accepted the tree and gave permission for it to be planted in the hot tub area. The transplant was challenging, but Charlie, Mike Gallagher, John Gardner, Ron Bochat and Dave (Maintenance staff), were able to get the job done.

The donation of this tree is just one of the many landscaping items (such as mulch) donated by residents over the past few months in an effort to renew and refresh the Raintree landscaping.

As such, the Board of Directors would also like to thank MaryJo Cottrell, Tom Rawson, Christine Wanta, and Dave and Susan Keetch for taking an interest in the beautification of Raintree. Over the past few months, they have contributed their time to weeding, mulching and pruning not only around the pool area, but around their condos units.

Have a Maintenance Request? Start with a Work Order

To better expedite maintenance requests, a work order must be submitted through Vista Management. Once received, the work order is expedited to a Board member and/or a representative from Vista Management who will respond accordingly.

Why is a work order important? Work orders are a record of maintenance preformed around the community. If you ask someone directly for maintenance assistance, there is no record of your request. A work order helps the Board organize and follow-through with requests, so you know that your concern has been received.

Termite Inspection of Downstairs Units is March 12th & 13th

The yearly Massey termite inspection of all downstairs condo units is scheduled for March 12th and 13th. Inspections will start each day at 9:00am. Massey will need to get into each of the downstairs units. The following buildings will be inspected on Monday, March 12th: Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12. The following buildings will be inspected on Tuesday, March 13th: Buildings 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 27.

If you will not be home and cannot arrange for someone to be home during this inspection (such as a neighbor), call Massey directly at 407-648-4881 to schedule an appointment. This service is available at no additional charge to Raintree condo owners and renters.
